Roadmap
In late June 2008, we released our first complete version of the Sitemasher platform, which allowed you to import mockups, templates, or HTML designs into Sitemasher, or to build a website from a blank canvas. We also enabled a new CSS editor and a navigation-menu toolset, along with the ability to create extensive forms and capture data with our built-in SQL database. Many other features emerged in this release, including search engine optimization (SEO), simple analytics, role-based security, and the ability to publish websites to a URL of your choice.
Our July release presented our first step towards providing extensibility within the Sitemasher product. This included the ability to use standard HTML and JavaScript code widgets to make it easy for developers to incorporate customized applications into Sitemasher. Our July release also contained further updates to our visual CSS editor, menu creation, and analytics.
By August 2008, we intend to overhaul our content management functionality to include the ability to make changes directly on the page in Dashboard. We will also make a second pass on submissions and approvals for site editors. As part of this launch, you will also see our first version of our Sitemasher Site Network, which will give users the ability to create parent and child sites, and to share components across them. Other additions will include our new visual style sheet editor, features to make it easier to use the list system as a blog, and many other enhancements.
In an effort to move towards our available for purchase (AFP) date, we are working very hard to move all Sitemasher features from demo-release mode to a fully usable and stable format by mid September 2008. And later in 2008 and 2009, we will further extend our product to include ASP.NET user controls and many other exciting features.
Needless to say, we are very focused on making sure that we listen to our community and provide product updates, user-interface adjustments, and new features with every new release of Sitemasher. Additionally, as Sitemasher is SaaS-based, we can do this on an ongoing basis and in a way that won’t inconvenience our users. For regular product updates, check out our Product News feed on the Sitemasher Dashboard.
By continuing to extend our offerings, Sitemasher provides a powerful way for you to build, manage, and optimize your websites.
