As a business owner, your focus should be on one thing – your business. We provide a solution where you don’t have to wonder whether you have enough bandwidth, storage, or redundancy. We do that work for you, so you don’t have to.
Scalability
Because of fluctuations business and marketing cycles, it is often difficult for customers to estimate website bandwith requirements. Sitemasher eliminates the guesswork by providing the most scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-effective solution. To address this, If your website suddenly generates a large quantity of traffic – due to a successful marketing campaign, for example – additional bandwith requests will be serviced by the most readily available server in the cloud. The Sitemasher system automatically scales up the number of servers needed for you website’s demand. Similarly, if there is very little traffic, the Sitemasher system will scale down to fractional servers – a process known as multi-tenant hosting. This is different than other hosting solutions where you are responsible for estimating and purchasing the amount of bandwith you will need.
Redundancy and availability
All the components within each of our data centers are redundant – computers, databases, servers, routers – so there is no single point of failure. And all of our equipment is powered by UPS with backup generators. In addition, all websites are automatically replicated to all servers within each data center. So if there are failures within a given server or data center, the Sitemasher system will automatically redirect your website visitors to your website running in another data center in the cloud.
From a website user’s perspective, your website is running within Sitemasher’s “cloud”. This means that the user is shielded from the computer, web server, or data center that services a given request for information. Your users simply type in your website address and the Sitemasher system does the rest.
Finally, this adds up to the ultimate in scalability, reliability, and performance for your websites.
